NIT Andhra Pradesh Students Secured National Recognition at ABB Accelerator 2026

ABB Accelerator 2026 • National Level Competition

Tadepalligudem, Andhra Pradesh: Students of the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Andhra Pradesh have once again demonstrated their innovation and technical excellence by securing Second Prize at the prestigious ABB Accelerator 2026 under Theme 2: "Beyond Monitoring: AI Agents for Real-Time Pod Resource Discovery and Dependency Mapping."

The winning team, SiliconKnights, comprised Soumyadip Das (III Year, Electrical Engineering), Kishan B (III Year, Electrical Engineering), Shivam Kumar (III Year, Mechanical Engineering), and Aaryan Shyam Pillai (III Year, Computer Science and Engineering). Their interdisciplinary collaboration resulted in an innovative AI-powered observability platform for Kubernetes that automatically discovers and maps dependencies among application pods without requiring manual topology configuration.

Unlike conventional monitoring tools that display only isolated performance metrics, the team's solution intelligently reconstructs real-time relationships between pods, enabling enhanced monitoring, troubleshooting, and resource management for cloud-native applications. The project highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern cloud infrastructure and distributed computing.
