Physical Education Club, as the name suggests is a club that is formed to encourage students to develop a quality physical education program that emphasizes enjoyable participation in physical activities. It is one of the youngest and most active clubs of the college, which was formed on September 1st, 2021under the supervision of Dr. Kiran Teeparthi, Faculty Incharge of the club. The club comprises the faculty members of SAS department, student members working in several roles such as secretary, joint secretaries, and executive members.
The main aim of the Physical Education club is to develop students’ competence and confidence to take part in a range of physical activities that become a central part of their lives, both in and out of college. It helps the students to develop holistic health, fitness, motor skills, social skills, and confidence needed to begin and maintain a healthy physically active lifestyle for the rest of their life. It is said that “Intelligence and skill can only function at the peak of their capacity when the body is healthy and strong”. In order to develop physical health and thereby overall development and well-being of the students, this club provides various opportunities in the form of yoga and various recreational activities such as sports and games.

PE club thus provides a platform, where students can showcase their hidden talent and improve their skill set in various sports and games.

To promote wellness, leadership, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence through competition, physical activity, and recreation.
MISSION:
To create a platform wherein students get various opportunities to enhance their physical fitness, leadership skills, teamwork, and social skills to complement the regular academics thereby helping in the fulfillment of overall development of a student, thus producing disciplined, motivated, and dedicated individuals who in turn act as the building blocks of the future society.
OBJECTIVES:
To develop quality in the performance of sports and games activities.
To prepare players and athletes to be selected for institute teams and trained for Inter-NIT sports tournaments.
To prepare students to achieve University, State, National, and international medals.
To guide to achieve general physical fitness and health.
To provide opportunities for social interaction and the development of lasting friendships.
To teach the value of sportsmanship, the principles of fair play, and a positive attitude.
To develop habits of participation in physical activity that can carry over into everyday living.
To provide leadership opportunities through participation.

Events
Physical Education club in its brief working period in offline mode has conducted several events to motivate and encourage students towards physical health and various sports competitions.
- PE club with support and guidance from SAS department successfully demonstrated yoga and formations on the Induction program held on 25th Dec 2021 which stood as a special attraction for the entire event and earned great appreciation.
- With a motive to identify and train talented players in various sports and games, PE club initiated an event named Talent Hunt on 13th Dec 2021. A large number of passionate and enthusiastic students from various departments of B.Tech. have participated in different game events which include Cricket, Volley Ball, Badminton, Chess, Kabaddi, Athletics, Basketball, Football, Handball, etc.
- On 30th Jan 2022, the club organized an event named “sports saints” a virtual quiz competition to cheer up students. The club also plays an active role in organising events on days of national importance such as Independence Day, Republic Day, National Unity Day etc. Many other competitions which include cricket tournaments, volleyball leagues, etc are being planned as part of future events.
