Chief Vigilance Officer

National Institute of Technology Andhra Pradesh follows the guidelines of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Government of India. The Part-time Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), NIT Andhra Pradesh, is entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing vigilance-related matters in accordance with the guidelines and directives issued by the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.

Roles and Responsibilities

The vigilance function of the Institute includes the following responsibilities:

  • To undertake preventive and corrective vigilance measures in accordance with CVC guidelines.
  • To ensure transparency, integrity, and effective measures for prevention of corruption in the governance and functioning of NIT Andhra Pradesh.
  • To examine references and complaints received from the Ministry of Education and CVC relating to corruption, misconduct, vigilance matters, and financial irregularities.
  • To observe Vigilance Awareness Week and other programmes as guided by the CVC and MoE, Government of India from time to time.
  • To submit periodic reports to the Ministry of Education and CVC.

Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO)

The Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of NIT Andhra Pradesh shall be appointed in accordance with the applicable guidelines and directions of the Central Vigilance Commission and the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The CVO shall be responsible for coordinating and overseeing vigilance-related activities of the Institute and for promoting preventive vigilance measures to minimise instances of bribery, corruption, misconduct, and other irregularities.

The CVO shall discharge the assigned responsibilities in accordance with the guidelines and instructions issued by the CVC, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
